I am thrilled you have found your way to my site, Everlasting Choice.com! You may be wondering what Everlasting Choice is all about and asking yourself the question, “why?”

I don’t know about you, but when I was young, I had dreams of an uncomplicated life. I held expectations of an ideal marriage and the picture-perfect family. I believed that with hard work and a positive attitude that all things would simply fall into place- finances, health, marriage, children. Misguided, you say? Well, maybe. Naïve, for sure. I guess I suspected in my immaturity that my life would be what I wanted it to be. I expected that my future would certainly throw me some curve balls, but never imagined the hits I would end up enduring along the way. Sound familiar to you? Have you taken a hit or two along your journey? Has the ideal life you conceived turned out to be somewhat flawed and inadequate? Have you found yourself in a place so different from where you thought you were headed?
If so, you are not alone. But the story is not over.

When the disappointment of unfulfilled goals permeates your thoughts; when the pain of betrayal wants to consume you; when past mistakes and failures keep you from moving forward; when bitterness and hate threaten to destroy your peace…where do you go?

When the discontentment in a relationship breaks your spirit; when the stress you endure means to choke you; when living for the approval of others seems like an endless pit; when you’ve broken promises and hearts … what do you do?

Look up, my friends. God is here and He loves you. His vision for you is one of fulfillment, peace, joy and hope. He has a plan for your life and can take you places that seem impossible now. But it is up to you to make the choice to follow Him.

There is such power in choice, isn’t there? And for better or worse, right? The decisions we make affect our future and can have a lasting effect on our lives and even the lives of generations to come. We may not even realize the importance of the choices until much later, but each one is quite significant nonetheless. Now, I’m not referring to whether you choose a tuna salad or turkey sandwich or what movie to see on a Friday night, but there are choices that are very important, even life-changing, in the long term. Whether or not to take a job, buy a house, have another child. We make daily choices to show compassion and kindness or thoughtlessness and indifference; generosity or selfishness; love and forgiveness or harshness and judgment. We make the choice to trust God or go it alone. In all these cases and more – Choice Matters. And how can we know how to make the right ones? I believe it is by going to God – through prayer and reading His Word. Ever made a choice that you now wish you could go back and change? I sure do. As I look back, here is what I ask myself…did you pray about that decision before you made it? Did you look to the Bible for guidance?

As many of you are aware, I created Key Chain Verses several years ago. I provide sets of personalized Bible verses which are arranged on a ring with a decorative cross. These chains of scripture verses, for every occasion and need -Women and Men, Healing, New Mothers, Children, Marriage, College/Teens, Grief, Faith and more, enable the reader to easily hold the Word and hear it as though God is speaking directly to them. Which, of course, He is! While connecting with my customers, I have heard countless stories of how God’s Word through Key Chain Verses has impacted people’s lives-how these promises have given them encouragement and guidance during difficult times and everyday life.

Do you know that God’s Word can change your life, too?

Hebrews 4:12-13 tells us that

“the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”

Basically, the Bible has power! And this power can be revealed in your future. By reading the Word and allowing it to penetrate your soul, it helps you become the person God desires for you to be. You gain encouragement from the stories of those who have followed God before you and lessons from seeing the consequences of those who have not. But most of all, the Bible highlights the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He came into this world to show us how to love His Father and each other and took our place when He died on the cross for our sins and then rose from the dead. Why? Because He loves you. What could be more encouraging than that?!

And here at Everlasting Choice, it will be a place you can come to receive simple messages of God’s love for you. You will be reminded that the Bible is a source that can strengthen you, remind you of your worth, and guide you in your choices. The story of your life may not be what you expected or hoped for thus far, but God is not finished with you yet! He can turn all things into good for those who love Him. My hope is that every time you visit, you will be uplifted by the Word and that you will see yourself through the lens that your Heavenly Father sees you…as a treasured, claimed child of God.

Are you going to make the right choice today?

May you be richly blessed,

Yancey Snavely
